Saiga antelope (Saiga tatarica)

Outbreaks of FMD have been described among antelopes in Russia and Israel. In Russia, saiga antelope (Saiga tatarica) developed numerous erosions on the mucous membranes of the lips, tongue, and hard palate. Vesicles and erosions were found near the cleft of the hoof and close to the heel in the majority of the animals.
