Indian elephant (Elephas maximus)

 


Naturally occurring FMD has been recorded in Indian elephants (Elephas maximus) in Nepal. They had vesicles and erosions in the mouth and on the feet. The longitudinal separation of the skin on the ventral part of the trunk was also reported.
