Clinical Signs

Clinical Signs in Other Species

Tree kangaroo (Dendrolagus matschei)

Work done at the FAO/OIE World Reference Laboratory for FMD at Pirbright, UK, showed that a number of Australian wild animal species were susceptible to infection with FMD virus. Generally, those which were infected had either no or only mild disease and clinical signs were rare. However, the tree kangaroo (Dendrolagus matschiei) did develop tongue lesions.
