A selection of images follows which illustrates lesions of various ages at different sites in sheep and goats. They were mainly recorded in animals infected by natural routes under experimental conditions; a few were from cases in the field. Although animals under field conditions might be subjected to more severe traumatic stresses which could influence the rate of rupturing and healing of lesions, those shown are considered to represent accurately lesions of different age.
