Presence of erythema, swelling and oedema of skin and mucosae. Transient
papular-vesicular stage leading to sloughing and ulceration, following
by serocellular crusting. Usually most severe on muzzle and tongue and
symmetrically distributed. High group morbidity rate.
Differentiated from FMD by the absence of vesicular lesions and high fever.
