Presence of erythema, swelling and oedema of skin. Transient papular-vesicular
stage leading to sloughing and ulceration, followed by serocellular crusting.
Lesions usually distributed bilaterally on lower limbs. High case morbidity
rate in groups of animals.
Differentiated from FMD by the absence of vesicular lesions and high fever.
